It was a bit breezy yesterday at Farmington Bay<\/span><\/a> and that seemed to have the Northern Harriers in the area up in the air and on the wing.<\/p>\n

I was able to take a few frames of this juvenile Northern Harrier in flight as it flew over some open water. I liked this image the most because it shows the pattern of the underside of the wings and the other images in this series didn’t have great eye contact like this one does.<\/p>\n

Speaking of eyes, I know it is hard to see at this resolution but this juvenile Northern Harrier has yellowish eyes so I would say that this is a young male.<\/p>\n

There is snow on the ground and more snow on the way, it is definitely going to be a white Christmas here in northern Utah.<\/p>\n
