I adored those bunnies but I always had to keep a careful eye on them too.<\/p>\n<p>The jackrabbits on the island remind me of my pet rabbits at times, not in coloration because Up2 was pure black and Mischief was black and white, but in behaviors like just sitting under a bush, relaxed and enjoying a nibble or two of the fresh spring grass.<\/p>\n<p>There seems to be a lot more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inaturalist.org\/taxa\/43130-Lepus-californicus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Black-tailed Jackrabbits<\/span><\/a> visible right now and perhaps that is because they stand out so well from the bright green grass we have from the spring rains. They will blend in more as the heat comes on and the grasses dry up.<\/p>\n<p>Life <em>is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n<p>Mia<\/p>\n<p>Click <a
