I adore the Black-tailed Jackrabbits I see on Antelope Island State Park for their huge caramel colored eyes, long ears, and their soft looking fur.<\/p>\n

Years ago, I used to have two lop eared pet rabbits who followed me around the house like puppies, their names were “Up2” and “Mischief” and together they earned those names. I adored those bunnies but I always had to keep a careful eye on them too.<\/p>\n

The jackrabbits on the island remind me of my pet rabbits at times, not in coloration because Up2 was pure black and Mischief was black and white, but in behaviors like just sitting under a bush, relaxed and enjoying a nibble or two of the fresh spring grass.<\/p>\n

There seems to be a lot more Black-tailed Jackrabbits<\/span><\/a> visible right now and perhaps that is because they stand out so well from the bright green grass we have from the spring rains. They will blend in more as the heat comes on and the grasses dry up.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
