I haven’t felt well this week so I haven’t been getting out shooting and as my readers can imagine that means I am getting cabin fever. Bad cabin fever from being in the city.<\/p>\n

But it is more than that. I haven’t really been in the “wild” for a while either. The summer heat and high temps have made me feel lethargic plus the bird activity slows down this time of the year too. I’m longing for cooler temps, the fresh air of the mountains and winding roads where you can go as slow as you want to soak up the magnificent views.<\/p>\n

This was one of those roads in the Ashley National Forest<\/a> near Flaming Gorge National Monument where you can slow down and recharge on our public lands. It is worth the trip if you have never been there.<\/p>\n

Maybe I have the summer doldrums. I am not sure, but I know I will be glad to get back out shooting again.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
