After a full day of photographing birds and wildlife there isn’t any thing better than watching the sun set as the last of the light kisses the clouds and makes them blush. Hearing the last calls of the cranes, coots and ducks, listening to the breeze rustling through the grasses and cattails and inhaling the earthy aroma of the marsh.<\/p>\n

I can spend all day focused on finding and photographing birds and I love it but I savor moments like I had a year ago watching the view in front of me change minute by minute.<\/p>\n

Watching a colorful sunset at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge fade to the darkness of night is a gift. A wonderful, priceless gift.<\/p>\n

And it reminds me to be even more determined to protect our public lands and keep them in our<\/em> hands.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
