A few days ago I wrote that it is National Wildlife Refuge Week<\/span><\/a> and posted some of the birds I have photographed at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a>. I photograph other wildlife at the refuge and the largest mammals found there are the Mule Deer that can be seen in the marshes.<\/p>\n

Last fall I photographed this beautiful Mule Deer buck at Bear River MBR in rut as he followed a doe around the frost-covered marsh. He had a nice rack of antlers with several atypical tines.<\/p>\n

The buck basically ignored me and kept his focus on the doe that was ahead of him and outside all of these frames.<\/p>\n

As both of the deer headed east and moved further away from where I was more of the habitat that they were in showed in the images that I took.<\/p>\n

Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is a big draw for birders and bird photographers but it is also home to mule deer, beavers, foxes, coyotes, voles, marmots, skunks, weasels, muskrats and other animals.<\/p>\n

Everyday is an adventure at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and you never know what you might see.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
