How strange and wonderful is our home, our earth, with its swirling vaporous atmosphere, its flowing and frozen liquids, its trembling plants, its creeping, crawling, climbing creatures, the croaking things with wings that hang on rocks and soar through the fog, the furry grass, the scaly seas.<\/em><\/p>\n

I have been thinking and worrying about “our home” deeply and often of late. I worry about the rising temperatures, the decline of species, pollution, destruction, and the loss of true wilderness.<\/p>\n

I know it must be hard for those that are not as profoundly connected to the earth as I am to understand why I feel I need to pull on a warrior’s vest and defend the earth I call home. Why so many people will risk their lives, livelihoods, and their future to defend our home, the earth.<\/p>\n

It is because when the earth breathes, we breathe. When earth can’t breathe mankind and every other living thing on the planet can’t breathe. The earth deserves better than we have given her, future generations deserve better than we are currently leaving them.<\/p>\n

The earth deserves our best. Certainly nothing less.<\/p>\n
