I love birds but I also love wildlife photography and will take photos of the wildlife I find while I am out looking for birds. Yesterday while up in the Wasatch Mountains I was delighted to be able to photograph two Least Chipmunks I found in East Canyon<\/span><\/a> of Morgan County, Utah.<\/p>\n

The chipmunks were busy eating and scurrying around and they were great subjects to photograph.<\/p>\n

Least Chipmunks are tiny and they are the smallest chipmunks in North America. They can be as hard to photograph as some the the smaller, flitty little birds because they just don’t’ stay still for long but the pair I had in my viewfinder yesterday did.<\/p>\n

Long enough for me to catch them in the leaf litter…<\/p>\n

And eating while sitting up on a rock underneath some huge trees. The sun light and shadows just seemed to work perfectly in most of my images.<\/p>\n

It was difficult to figure out which of the two chipmunks to focus on at times while I took a boatload of photos of the pair.<\/p>\n

I adore these little chipmunks and I am happy that I was able to spend a few minutes with them yesterday photographing and admiring them. Bird photography may be my primary passion but wildlife photography also comes very close.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
