Today’s post is going to be short, real short. Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and all is good and then wham<\/em> out of nowhere things start hitting the fan? That has been my morning so far.<\/p>\n

Back in December when we had practically our only snow storm that month I still went down to my local pond because I like taking birds photos when the snow is falling. When the light is low and shutter speeds are slow sometimes you can create interesting blurred images and although I often don’t intend to take blurs they do sometimes happen.<\/p>\n

This California Gull blur in a snow storm was one of those blurs that happened because of slow shutter speeds and low light but I found that I liked the resulting photo and will call it a happy accident.\u00a0 I like how most everything in the image including the falling snow and the gull’s wings are blurred but the face of the gull, its feet, and tail are sharp.<\/p>\n

I know images like this one are not everyone’s cup of tea. I like it though.<\/p>\n
