I always look forward to seeing and photographing Eastern Kingbirds (Tyrannus tyrannus) during the warmer months of the year. I was fortunate to see a few yesterday at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a> in northern Utah.<\/p>\n

Eastern Kingbirds and their close relative; Western Kingbirds, are not timid, in fact the will chase off and attack much larger birds than themselves.<\/p>\n

This Eastern Kingbird was kind enough to perch on an old, weather worn fence post yesterday and I couldn’t resist photographing it.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
