A simple post this morning…<\/p>\n

Landscape images are not where my photographic strengths or skills shine. Yet, I find myself gazing at the fantastic scenery I see when I am out in the field while searching for birds and I am often delighted and amazed by the views I see.<\/p>\n

Three days ago while at my local pond, I looked to the east and saw the sun lighting up a snow covered ridge line of the Wasatch Mountains where the ridge behind it was in the shadows and felt that I just had to take a few images.<\/p>\n

I liked the contrast of sunlight and shadows and how my eyes followed the snow covered jagged ridges in the foreground and those in the shadows too. I can see that some of the oaks on the sun lit ridge still have some reddish colored leaves and that the conifers in the shadows aren’t completely covered with snow… yet.<\/p>\n

Winter has arrived and I’m sure I will be sharing a few more Wasatch Mountain Range views like this one before spring melt if and when the scenery catches my eyes.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
