\"SnowySnowy Canada Geese near the Jordan River – Nikon D500, f9, 1\/640, ISO 400, Nikkor 500mm VR, natural light<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been snowing here since last night and it is wonderful to see this much snow on the ground, this is the heaviest snowfall I have had here at home this entire winter. I went outside and measured the snow on top of my Jeep and\u00a0 there is slightly over 8 inches on the hood and my Jeep is in a sheltered location, there appears to be about one foot in locations that aren’t as protected. The sun isn’t up yet as I write this and the snow is still coming down, in fact it is supposed to snow all day so who knows what the final snowfall here at home will be.<\/p>\n

This pair of Canada Geese were photographed last winter near the Jordan River close to where I live at the tail end of a storm similar to the storm occurring right now.<\/p>\n

I am hoping to get to the local ponds after the sun comes up to see what I can photograph there but I don’t want to go much further this morning because there are going to be tons of accidents on the roads today. Maybe this afternoon I will venture farther from home.<\/p>\n

I love snow and I’m glad to see so much on the ground. I took this photo a while ago that shows my Jeep and the street using my cell phone.<\/p>\n

I can’t wait for the sun to rise so I can get out in the snow!<\/p>\n
