I like the ribbons of different shades of blue in this image and even though the Semipalmated Plover\u00a0is small in the frame it stands out well from its habitat.<\/p>\n

This is an adult Semipalmated Plover who was about to go into non-breeding plumage, photographed while laying flat on the very wet sand along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
