The heat here in the Salt Lake Valley has been getting to me so when my friend, artist and photographer, Mark Perry<\/span><\/a> posted some images of Bear River MBR during the winter yesterday his photos helped me to remember that in time this heat will move on, fall will arrive and winter will make an appearance soon after. Cooler weather will come but for now we just have to get through the high temps.<\/p>\n

I thought of some of the photos I have taken of the Great Salt Lake during the winter from Antelope Island State Park and while looking through them I decided to share these images taken on March 4, 2018 of the snow, lake, clouds, sky, shoreline and mountains in the distance.<\/p>\n

I also realized I haven’t been taking as many landscape images as I used to and that I need to go back to doing that again.<\/p>\n

I live in such a beautiful state and even though birds are my primary focus as subjects the natural world that surrounds me is endlessly fascinating, stunning and I hope I never lose the sense of wonder I feel when I see it.<\/p>\n

I know cooler weather is ahead and these photos are reminders of that.<\/p>\n

Life is good.<\/p>\n
