The gate past Goose Egg Island at Farmington Bay WMA<\/span><\/a> is now open and I enjoyed being back out there looking for birds yesterday morning in the bright morning light. It was a delightful change of pace to be back at the WMA to photograph birds because I haven’t been past the gate since March and there were plenty of birds to see.<\/p>\n

For a few brief moments yesterday morning I had a lovely Yellow-rumped Warbler in my viewfinder at Farmington Bay that had perched in a leafy tree and I took full advantage of it being nearby.<\/p>\n

The setting may be a little messy but the warbler stands out from the habitat beautifully. I could have done without the out of focus leaves in front of the branch on the right hand side but they were there along with the bird so I made the best of it.<\/p>\n

I cropped this photo vertically and that reduced the impact of the out of focus leaves on the right hand side. The warbler flew away not long after I took this image.<\/p>\n

Yellow-rumped Warblers are on the move and I hope to see and photograph more of them before they migrate out of my area.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
