Yesterday I shared a photo of a Bald Eagle resting<\/span><\/a> on the icy marsh at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a> and this morning I am sharing a Canada Goose doing exactly the same thing. This Canada Goose image was taken about four minutes prior to the Bald Eagle image and in nearly the same location. The goose was substantially closer to me than the eagle was.<\/p>\n

I know, it is “just” a goose and quite often they aren’t seen as appealing as the eagle on the ice. That isn’t true for me.<\/p>\n

If it is a wild bird, I’ll stop to photograph it. It is as simple as that.<\/p>\n

Besides, I think this Canada Goose is just as lovely resting on the snow and frost covered ice of the marsh in the early morning light as the Bald Eagle was.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
