I came across this adult Red-shouldered Hawk while walking around at John Chesnut Sr. Park<\/span><\/a> in Florida way back in January of 2009.<\/p>\n

I liked the dappled light on the hawk along the vibrant greens in the background. This Red-shouldered Hawk was quiet when I walked up on it perched high in a pine. This isn’t a great photo but the reason I like it is because this is the kind of habitat I usually found this species in while I lived in Florida.<\/p>\n

During that time of my life I walked miles and miles to locate my subjects on foot and I am realizing more and more that I miss doing that and may need to make some changes. I enjoyed the peace, the solitude, and the pleasure going wherever my own feet took me.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
