There are times when I am grateful for birds that pick a busy setting to perch in when I am photographing them because they can show the habitat the birds are found in.<\/p>\n

When this adult male Yellow Warbler landed in a willow near me I was more than happy to photograph him surrounded by the willows.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the kind of photo that is typically found in guide books because guides books are primarily focused on helping the viewer learn to identify birds by their form, color and field marks where having a clean, uncluttered frame puts all the focus on the bird.<\/p>\n

This is the kind of photo though that can help people get to know the bird not just by form, color or field marks but also offers a glimpse into their world by showing their natural habitat which for this male Yellow Warbler<\/span><\/a> was in a willow thicket near a creek.<\/p>\n

The warbler stands out enough for my tastes.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good. Stay safe.<\/p>\n
