\"ChukarChukar running on a snow covered rock<\/span><\/p>\n

I spent the day photographing with a fellow photographer friend from Arizona, Brian Gatlin. Antelope Island State Park was slow, the only images I took were of the Chukar above.<\/p>\n

\"GreatGreat Blue Heron trying to remove ice from its plumage<\/span><\/p>\n

Farmington Bay WMA; on the other hand, was hopping. This Great Blue Heron; probably the same one I photographed a few days ago<\/span><\/a>, was trying hard to get the ice off that had formed on the straggly part of its chest plumage.<\/p>\n

\"JuvenileJuvenile Black-crowned Night Heron near a bridge<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there was this juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron standing in the open water near the second bridge. It also had ice hanging from its plumage.<\/p>\n

\"Rough-leggedRough-legged Hawk immature<\/span><\/p>\n

There was also cooperative immature Rough-legged Hawk perched on a bush near the road.<\/p>\n

\"PerchedPerched American Barn Owl at Farmington Bay WMA<\/span><\/p>\n

And this lovely American Barn Owl that probably couldn’t figure out why three glass lenses in the pickup were pointed at it along with one in a vehicle behind us. The owl obviously doesn’t know it has Star Power.<\/p>\n

Some fun with birds from yesterday with great companionship. I can’t ask for more.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
