Some days start off the wrong way and when they do I look for things that soothe me. Views of mountains calm me down so today I am sharing a simple view of some West Desert<\/span><\/a> mountains.<\/p>\n

When I booted my computer this morning there was an error on one of the drives so Windows 10 decided to scan and repair that drive which it does at a snail’s pace. Anyone who has had that scan occur knows exactly how dreadfully slow it goes. While the scan was running I couldn’t get to the files that I wanted to share today on my computer. The files weren’t on my lap top, smart phone, or tablet so I was stuck waiting and waiting some more. I sat here thinking it might be 9 am before I could publish a post.<\/p>\n

Then the scan got stuck at 22% of the volume of the drive. It just would not move past 22%.<\/p>\n

Since the scan wouldn’t move forward I decided to risk it, shut my computer down hard, waited 10 seconds, and then turned my computer back on. It worked. My computer booted normally. By then I had wasted more than an hour watching that scan on my screen. I’ll scan the offending drive manually later today.<\/p>\n

I knew I had taken a short series of photos of the West Desert Mountains back in February so I dipped into the files of that folder and processed this image because this view calms me.<\/p>\n

While I processed this photo I thought about the many times I have seen this view, the quietness I find in the West Desert, and the gifts of nature.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good even when it throws you a curve ball before the sun comes up.<\/p>\n
