Yesterday I was lucky enough to find and point out this springtime Raven perched in front of a field of pink filaree, a wildflower from the Geranium family.<\/p>\n

These introduced\u00a0 wildflowers won’t be in bloom too much longer so I am trying to get images of my subjects with the filaree in the frames.<\/p>\n

The Common Raven<\/span><\/a> looked marvelous perched on the rock with the pink flowers in the background.<\/p>\n

Antelope Island<\/span><\/a> is a wonderful place to see an observe Common Ravens. They can be quite skittish though. A simple ding from a vehicle, just slowing down, or the crunch of gravel under tires can be enough to make them take flight.<\/p>\n

I am so very glad that this raven stuck around long enough for me to take photos of it. I loved the slightly open bill in this raven image, the glossy black plumage of the bird, and of course, the setting.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
