\"TwoTwo young Mule Deer bucks in the marsh at Bear River MBR<\/span><\/p>\n

Monday morning I saw a group of three Mule Deer bucks slowly moving through tall vegetation in the marsh at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a>. The bucks were so close to the auto tour route road that I couldn’t fit their whole bodies into my viewfinder so I opted to take photos that focused on their upper bodies and heads. It had been about six years since I’ve photographed Mule Deer in the marshes on the refuge so I was happy to see the bucks whether I got decent images of them or not.<\/p>\n

The male on the left had some vegetation in front of his face so I focused primarily on the spike buck on the right. Just a bit before I took this photo I liked the way the spike buck had been looking directly at me better than I did this side view.<\/p>\n

Butt… when I viewed the first photos I took of the two Mule Deer where I liked the head pose of the spike buck best on my larger screen at home I noticed something that now I can’t unsee. I wasn’t even going to share this photo at first but it does tell the rest of the story.<\/p>\n

That spike buck had its butt aimed right at me and was pooping in the first five frames I took of the two Mule Deer. Sorry about the invasion of privacy, bucko.<\/p>\n
