Last evening when I walked outside to move my Jeep into the driveway I glanced towards the east to view the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains. Through the heavy clouds a beam of light illuminated a section of the mountains where there are stands of aspens. That ray of light made the golden leaves of the aspens glow and as I stood there I was reminded that soon there will be snow on those peaks again. That might even happen in the next few days.<\/p>\n

I have thoroughly loved and enjoyed seeing the Wasatch Range<\/span><\/a> practically every day since I moved to Utah. I don’t take the mountains for granted. When I lived in Florida I missed seeing mountains so much that I used to imagine at times that I could see mountains in the towering storm clouds when I walked along the Gulf Coast looking for and photographing birds. Pretending is never as wonderful as the real thing.<\/p>\n

Just some of my thoughts on a cloudy, autumn morning.<\/p>\n
