A few days ago I came across this image of a snow white feather floating on a pond when I went down a rabbit hole into my photo archives. I was looking for images that I had taken of a hen canvasback last January to add to my photo galleries when this feather image caught my eyes.<\/p>\n

The downy, snow white feather could have come from a mallard, a goldeneye, a merganser, or a gull because all of them were present at the pond that day. There is no sense of size contained within this image because there is nothing to compare the feather to. It really doesn’t matter what bird the feather came from.<\/p>\n

For me the only thing that mattered when I took this image was that the feather caught my eye when it floated by on the chilly pond and that is the simple truth.<\/p>\n
