Yesterday I found and pointed out a bunch of birds in northern Utah. The long distance Rock Wren photos I took were the birds that brought me the most joy. The only thing that could have made it better is if the two Rock Wrens I found had been singing or calling<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even though the Rocks Wrens I found weren’t singing I enjoyed having them in my viewfinder plus I had fun watching them them flit from the rocks to the ground and up to the tops of other rocks.<\/p>\n

The two Rock Wrens weren’t close at all but I like how both of these photos show the habitat I find these medium sized wrens in. Lots of rocks. Lots of lichen on the rocks. Just enough vegetation that it can make the wrens hard to spot.<\/p>\n

I work hard at finding birds though. Really hard.<\/p>\n

When I am in the desert and I hear Rock Wrens singing I can’t help but feel happy. For such small birds they have a big voice. It is always<\/em> a thrill to hear these wrens even when I don’t get photos of them.<\/p>\n

Yesterday given time these wrens might have approached closer than they did for frame filling images. I wish I would have had more time with them.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
