• Jade Clubtail dragonflies are slender pale dragonflies with green eyes, and an abdomen that has very little clubbing and is rusty brown at the end.
• Jade Clubtails are found in the central United States, ranging from Texas north through the Midwest. These clubtail dragonflies inhabit ponds, lakes, slow-moving rivers, streams, and muddy or sandy shorelines. They are often found perched on low vegetation, logs, or branches near water.
• Jade Clubtail dragonflies are carnivorous and feed on small flying insects.
• Female Jade Clubtail dragonflies lay eggs by flying over the water and releasing them into or just beneath the surface.
• Jade Clubtails are named for their jade-green coloration and the club-like widening on the abdomen of males.
• A group of dragonflies can be called a “swarm” of dragonflies.
