• When Ornate Checkered Beetles are mature they feed on pollen and at times solitary bees they capture on flowers. They also mate and lay their eggs on flowers.
• Ornate Checkered Beetles can be found with yellow and black coloration within their range or in the Great Basin, red and black.
• Ornate Checkered Beetles are found in western North America.
