Welcome!
On The Wing Photography contains posts with my photos plus the authentic stories behind my images. Additionally, you can visit my extensive photo galleries which contain more than 14,000 images of birds, wildlife, flowers, and trees along with photos of the incredible landscapes I visit.
My dream for my site was to be unique and my real life experiences in the field certainly are. For ten years, from May 2, 2015 to May 2, 2025, I never missed a single day of sharing posts.

The Stories Behind My Images
Female American Kestrel On A Frosty Winter Morn
American Kestrels are year round residents in Utah and when the cold sets in they are less skittish and will allow closer approaches.
Photobombed By A Bird And A Bug
When taking any photograph it is possible to be photobombed and I have had my share of those including these two bird images.
White-tailed doe in a barley field
Two years ago today I was in Glacier County, Montana photographing sparrows, partridge, Swainson's Hawks and White-tailed Deer.
