Welcome!
On The Wing Photography contains posts with my photos plus the authentic stories behind my images. Additionally, you can visit my extensive photo galleries which contain more than 14,000 images of birds, wildlife, flowers, and trees along with photos of the incredible landscapes I visit.
My dream for my site was to be unique and my real life experiences in the field certainly are. For ten years, from May 2, 2015 to May 2, 2025, I never missed a single day of sharing posts.

The Stories Behind My Images

National Coyote Day – Revisiting A Two Year Old Facebook Post
Two years ago, I shared a Coyote photo on Facebook to celebrate National Coyote Day. I love Coyotes and wanted to bring awareness to a day that celebrates them.
Mexican Long-nosed Armadillo At Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge
Photographing a Mexican Long-nosed Armadillo at Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge yesterday was one of the highlights of a morning well spent at the refuge.
