• Spotted Orbweavers are found throughout North America, from southern Canada to Mexico. They are most common in the eastern United States.
• Spotted Orbweaver spiders prefer open, sunny areas with vertical structures to support their webs. They are often found in gardens, fields, forest edges, and around buildings.
• Spotted Orbweavers primarily eat flying insects that become trapped in their webs, including flies, moths, beetles, and mosquitoes.
• Female Spotted Orbweavers lay several hundred eggs in late summer or fall. The eggs are encased in a silken sac and typically hatch the following spring.
