Just a simple post of an American Oystercatcher about to be awash in sea foam at Fort De Soto’s north beach taken back in September of 2008. Looking at the waters of the Gulf again reminded me of how refreshing they could be on a hot day photographing birds on the west coast of Florida.

Beautiful bird – his bill is massive, and I like the bright orange color of it.
Those Oyster Catchers are so elegant looking…and ANYTHING with sea foam looks good to me!!!
