Summer Western Warbling-Vireo in the Wasatch Mountains of northern Utah
Some birders may have added a new life bird yesterday when the AOS split the Warbling Vireo into two species: Eastern and Western Warbling-Vireo.
Because of the split, birders who have seen Warbling Vireos in both the east and the west didn’t even have to leave home to add a new bird to their life list.
I have photos of Western Warbling-Vireos from when I photographed them in Utah.
And now? I live where I can photograph the Eastern Warbling-Vireos, if I can just get them into my viewfinder! While I have heard and seen them since moving to Arkansas, I just haven’t gotten the photos of them that I would like.
I will be keeping a lookout for them though.
Life is good.

Nice shot. I really like this composition. The colors are nicely muted and the warbler seems to blend in perfectly. Thanks Mia.
