I was editing some images for a new project when I came across this photo of two Least Chipmunks side by side on a wooden post high in the Wasatch Mountains. The chipmunks were just so cute that I wanted to share them today.

I am always thrilled when I am able to get two of these tiny creatures in the same image. These two were eating something on top of the wooden post together when I found them.
As I recall it was very hot that day even though I was high in the mountains. I wondered if the chipmunks felt the heat while they were perched out in the open. I took a very long series of images of these two chipmunks. Why wouldn’t I?
I am looking forward to finding and photographing Least Chipmunks this spring, summer, and fall. They make me laugh when they are playing together. Sometimes I simply watch them instead of taking photos.
I could use a good dose of chipmunk fun right about now.

Yes they are very cute love the little guys. Saw my first one out of hibernation today here in Ontario Canada in my backyard, so great to see it.
