Title: Long-billed Curlew in winter habitat
Location: Fort De Soto County Park, Pinellas County, Florida
Date: 6/10/2009
It may seem strange that I titled this “Long-billed Curlew in winter habitat” since the date is in June but this immature female stayed on its wintering grounds instead of going to to its breeding grounds. From what I understand this is not terribly unusual for first summer curlews.
