Bison bull in a morning fog

Bison bull in a morning fogBison bull in a morning fog – Nikon D810, f6.3, 1/800, ISO 500, Nikkor 500mm VR, natural light

Yesterday the radar looked great with very few clouds and it was clear at home but Antelope Island was shrouded in fog. The causeway was treacherous because of limited visibility and the landscape I am so familiar with looked foreign.

Every once in a while though the winter sun would penetrate through the fog and it was during one of those moments that I photographed this frost-covered Bison bull as it rested in the grasses.

The rest of my time on Antelope Island yesterday wasn’t very productive but I do enjoy the images I created of this Bison bull.

Life is good.

Nice. =) I love fog. Makes almost any landscape feel mysterious.

Even in the frosty fog, it’s a great shot.
