I’ve been seeing baby Uinta Ground Squirrels and two days ago I was finally able to photograph some of the cute little balls of fur near their burrow. I’d missed shots of them the day before which was disappointing so getting photos of them the next day made me feel better. These ground squirrels spend most of their lives underground so photographing them while they are above ground and out in the open is important to me.

There were at least five baby ground squirrels at this burrow but the most I could get in a single photo was two of them after they popped back up and looked towards me and my Jeep with what appeared to be curiosity.

I didn’t realize I’d gotten this photo of one of the baby Uinta Ground Squirrels calling until after I’d gotten back home and viewed my photos on my monitor, I laughed while I thought of funny captions I could add to this frame. At the end of my bout of laughter I decided to leave the photo as is without a funny caption, I’m sure that anyone viewing this photo can come up with their own funny captions.

Life is good.
