Happy Mother’s Day 2022
I wanted to wish all moms a Happy Mother’s Day with a wildflower that I see blooming at this time of year in northern Utah. This is a blooming Lewis’s Flax and I photographed it last year in the foothills of sky island mountains of the West Desert.
I remember my sons bringing me small bouquets of wildflowers when they were young boys. They had smiles on their faces as they clutched whatever flowers they had picked in their tiny hands and rushed to bring them to me. It didn’t matter to me whether they were dandelions, a shoe box filled with gardenia blossoms or flowers I had grown in my garden. They were gifts from my children. My children always were and are gifts.
We all love our moms.
I love you Mom.

Happy Mother’s Day Mia. I got my bouquet this morning from my daughter before she ran off to the wildlife rehab for a day of implementing HPAI protocol. I think we are all feeling covid was easy at this point!
