Western Bluebirds – Mia McPherson's On The Wing Photography

Sialia mexicana

Western Bluebirds are small, brightly colored thrushes found primarily in Western North America. The males have deep blue heads, backs and wings with rusty orange on their chests that extends to their upper back and their flanks. The females are duller in coloration than the males.
